The Norwegian Sea: enroute to Iceland

Four water masses in the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans converge in the Norwegian Sea. It reaches a maximum depth of 3970 m.

So we are on our way to Iceland. Clocks back another hour.

It was light very, very early - I peeked out through the curtains around 4 am - it was very light. Officially sunrise is 3:36 am. I went back to sleep.

It’s a bit of a swell today and the deck with the walking track is too wet and windy and rocking from side to side to do any laps - we try, but go back inside after half a lap. We go to the hot pool instead.

We have late breakfast, late lunch and late dinner. Try to hold back but hey! Who can resist crêpesuzette?

We climb the stairs - end up walking a mere 2.6 kms. Do our exercises and stretches. Attend three lectures - topic: Iceland.

Read a book set in Iceland: Burial Rites by an Australian author Hannah Kent: an historical true-crime novel. Very good!
